Terms & Conditions (2026)

We like to keep things simple, fair, and clear from the outset. These terms are here to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely for both dogs and owners.

๐Ÿก Our Approach

Minch Dogs offers a relaxed, home-from-home environment. Dogs in our care are treated as part of the household during their stay.

Because of this, itโ€™s important that all dogs are comfortable in a home setting and can safely mix with people and other dogs.

๐Ÿ• Behaviour & Suitability

We are unable to accept dogs with:

  • aggressive or reactive tendencies

  • any known history of aggression towards people or other animals

If a dog displays behaviour that we believe presents a risk at any time:

  • we may separate the dog immediately

  • the owner (or emergency contact) will be required to arrange collection as soon as possible

No refund will be given if a stay is shortened under these circumstances.

๐Ÿค Meet & Greets & Trial Stays

  • A meet & greet at the ownerโ€™s home is required before any walking or home visit services begin

  • All boarding bookings require a trial day or overnight stay, charged at the standard rate

This helps ensure the right fit for everyone.

๐Ÿ’‰ Health & Vaccinations

All dogs must:

  • be fully vaccinated (DHPPI & Lepto, plus Kennel Cough)

  • be up to date with flea and worm treatments

We will require sight of vaccination records and retain a copy for licensing purposes.

If your dog is unwell, please do not bring them to daycare, boarding, or walks, as this may put other dogs at risk.

๐Ÿพ General Requirements

  • All dogs must be microchipped

  • An emergency contact must be provided and be available if needed

  • Registration forms must be completed prior to any service

For added security, dogs may be fitted with an AirTag while out on walks.

๐Ÿถ Feeding & Belongings

  • Owners must provide their dogโ€™s usual food, along with clear feeding instructions

  • We may offer treats unless requested otherwise

  • We provide bedding, but you are welcome to bring your own

Any items left with us are at the ownerโ€™s risk.

๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Additional Notes

  • Entire males may be accepted at our discretion โ€“ please contact us to discuss

  • We do not accept bitches in season

  • If a dog comes into season during their stay, they must be collected as soon as possible (no refund will be given)

๐ŸŒฆ Weather & Welfare

During extreme weather (e.g. heat, ice, snow), walk times and routines may be adjusted to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs and humans.

๐Ÿš Transport

By using our services, you agree to your dog being transported in our vehicle for walks or in case of emergency.

๐Ÿฉบ Veterinary Care

If a dog becomes ill or injured while in our care:

  • we will attempt to contact the owner immediately

  • if necessary, we will seek veterinary treatment

All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner.

๐Ÿ’ณ Bookings & Payments

Walking & Check in Services

  • Payment is required in full in advance

  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received

Boarding & Daycare

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking

  • The remaining balance is due at least 2 weeks before the stay

Bookings are not held without a deposit.

โŒ Cancellations

Walking

  • More than 7 daysโ€™ notice: full refund

  • 7 days to 48 hours: 50% refund

  • Less than 48 hours: no refund

Boarding & Daycare

  • More than 2 weeksโ€™ notice: deposit is non-refundable

  • Less than 2 weeks: no refund

๐Ÿ•’ Collection & Late Fees

Dogs must be collected at the agreed time.

  • Late collections incur a charge of ยฃ5 per hour (or part hour) for the first 3 hours

  • Beyond 3 hours, a full additional 24-hour rate will apply

We take your privacy seriously and handle all data in line with GDPR.

  • Your information will never be shared with third parties

  • You may request access to the information we hold at any time

  • Records may be held in both paper and digital formats
